Summer Luna is an immigrant who grew up in Southern California and holds a B.A. in Journalism from California State University, Northridge. She loves listening to music, binge-watching her favorite shows, and spending time with family and good friends.
After a tragic accident leaves Jo orphaned and heartbroken, she struggles adjusting to her new life. Living with estranged relatives and starting a new high school is difficult enough but being an undocumented student adds another layer of stress to her life. Jo tries to blend in at school but becomes the target of a vengeful conflict between her cousin and another group of boys, including the boy she falls in love with—Cash Walker—the son of a successful music producer. Jo is a dedicated student who dreams of being successful against all the obstacles that stand in front of her. Cash is intelligent and talented but also rebellious and unmotivated despite having easy access to everything Jo dreams of. They come from different backgrounds but ultimately discover they share a passion for music and one another. She trusts Cash enough to share her painful history along with her heart, but will his regretful deception destroy their relationship and shatter her dreams? Undocumented Dreams recognizes diversity and the emotional stakes of growing up and falling in love, despite overwhelming obstacles.
