Deborah Elaine Lindsay is married and lives in a small town in central Massachusetts. She is the mother of six grown sons and the proud grandmother of nine. While family is what she cherishes most in her life, she also is an avid paddle boarder and a tri-athlete. Following a nursing career that spanned almost four decades, Deborah is now retired and dedicated solely to her writing. She hopes to publish a new novel annually.

Her Voice Emerges, a heartwarming and, at times, heartbreaking historical romance novel, introduces Hannah Bradford, the six-year-old daughter of a wealthy English lord living in Clare County, Ireland in 1824. Hannah's character develops and her voice emerges as she encounters the love of family, the sweetness of friendship, and the fragility of life. Her innocence is shattered when she comes face-to-face with the brutal truth that there is a vast difference between the lives of the "haves" and "have nots" in nineteenth-century Ireland. Her Voice Emerges is the first novel of the Her Voice series which will follow the women of the Bradford family from Clare County, Ireland in 1824 to current day United States. This series focuses on the tremendous strength and resilience of its heroines as they bravely fight from generation to generation just for their voices to be heard. Each novel is set in a different time period, where the characters battle the specific problems and inequities of that era. This is not a children's series. It has adult themes that force the reader to contemplate how they view themselves and their place in the world.
