Rusty, the Little Shopping Cart
I am able to capture the essence of an inanimate object and give it a personality. With this capability, I can present a topic in a manner that is appealing and give it a unique spin where a positive impact can/will be made on the reader. Many young people have lost the capacity to engage their imagination. My desire is to ignite this latent talent.
Rusty, the Little Shopping Cart is about an immature shopping cart that finds friends, a home and comes to terms with who he is after a terrible accident.
Children around second grade age although adults will find this story enjoyable. Parents of children and child and family counselors. I believe any location would be viable that speaks English.
Other color requirements
yellows that are cheery like a sunflower or butter or a rose
I want to present a book without pictures on the cover to remove any imprinting on the child of what the character should look like. I want the book to ignite the child's imagination and allow him to draw his own illustrations. I want the cover to be yellow with bubbles; transparent bubbles scattered about the cover. I want it to appear that someone has blown bubbles and they have landed on the cover. I want the title to start at the top and go across with the word Rusty, and then somehow cascade the next two words then finish with "Shopping Cart" parallel to the word Rusty. The title placement is open for interpretation. I would like a bold and fun approach yet not overpowering. I would like the font to be simple yet full with a richness to it: let the title have the power, but contrast nicely with the background. Any interpretation is welcome. I have a visual in my mind, but there is always the chance that it won't be the same as an actual image. I want my name going across the bottom in a smaller font size than the title and possibly a different font as well: D.L. LaMare
What to avoid
