Der Gestrandete: Ein Nebula-Roman
Rupert N. Zynobel
The main character is a 26-year-old male, who works in a big concern. He finds this book called "Nebula", which gives him access to the magical world "Nebula". Nebula is a place like back in the 17th century, the colonial era, with pirates, kings and many adventurers. In Nebula, there is no sun, instead the sky consists of magical clouds, that move and glow in a spectacular matter. There are in mid-air floating "islands" with villages and cities on it. The people travel with flying ships. In Nebula the main character finds freedom, which he lacks in the real world.
young adults, adults, 14 to 40 years old. Mostly male but also appealing to females.
Book cover type
Dynamic, adventurous, wide, freedom, piratic. Just some additions after going through the first designs: 1) Important: it's the first book of a series of three. There should be elements/styles that can return in the next two book covers as well. 2) The main character (if you want to depict him): He is a tall guy, 26 years old, short black hear, no hat. His cloths: short pants. His shirt is like one of the farmers in the 17th century (dirty, loose, simple. Like in the link). Maybe with sleeves up. His boots old, handy, nothing fancy. BUT, he doesn't have to be in the spotlight! I like a more subtile appearance. 3) There is no moon/sun in my made-up world. 4) The font should not be too childish/ ornate and more serious. 5) Instead of the sea in some designs, there should be clouds. 6) Don't make the design too dark. This is the first book of this series. Its more friendly then the following. That’s why I proposed the colours yellow, green and aqua. Make it look more like daytime. EDITION: Style: I prefer, if the desgin does'nt look too real/ too animated. I prefer a more PAINTED/ DRAWN/ SKETCHY style like in the example designs that I uploaded.
What to avoid
Remember: No sun on the cover (the sky consists of clouds, see description above). Please make the cover neither too dark nor too childish. No real photographes Not too much into steampunk. There is no steam technology, balloons whatsowever in my made-up world.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
speckgunther collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
