The Issues are in the Tissues: Get Comfortable in Your Own Skin and Thrive in Business and in Life
Dr. Kim Makoi is a San Francisco-based chiropractor specializing in the Neuro Emotional Technique (NET). Although he was NET certified in 2002, his 2006 mid-career transition from female to male was a turning point in his deeper understanding of how the body - and one's relationship to it - can have a profound and direct impact on one's business and life. Dr. Kim spends his sunrises at the beach and his days helping individuals, small groups and businesses to thrive by healing the issues in their tissues. He goes to bed pretty early and lives with his son, who may have a bright future on Twitch.
My book is about how the body stores hidden stresses and traumas and how creating a healthy relationship with your body (and taking good care of it) can heal those stresses and traumas and can actually improve your business and your life.
Health-conscious business people between ages 35-59, split about 50/50 male/female, perhaps with more females than males? They are more likely to live in urban areas than rural. They probably read other mindbody health books (like The Body Keeps the Score).
Book cover type
The font that I am using inside the book for the chapter headings, etc. is Gungsuh, so the cover title font should not clash with that! I really like the photo that I have selected for the cover, but I am open to different ideas for how that image somehow fits well with such a long title. The title should be readable despite the busy image. I am open to creative solutions. The book will be a standard 6x9" trade paperback, published on amazon KDP.
What to avoid
This book will be uploaded to amazon KDP, so don't put any text, etc. in the lower right corner of the back cover. Amazon will put the barcode and ISBN there. It will cover a 2x1.2" white box in the lower right corner.
It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their book cover.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Kim Makoi collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
Khurram is a very talented and very polite artist and I greatly enjoy working with him! This is the second project we've worked on together and I know there will be more in the future. Even when I know I'm being annoying and sending him lots of messages to change this or that he maintains his professionalism and works quickly! I could not recommend someone more highly!
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
