We are a blog, showing our readers how to travel luxuriously using miles and points. Our target group is mainly male, 30-40y old and from Germany (as we're only writing in German). We will start offering our readers an exclusive way to book 3000 5-star hotels across the world through our site with exclusive benefits such as - Complimentary breakfast; - Complimentary upgrade - A 100 USD Hotel voucher without any extra costs for the user. See a longer list and description in the reference design. However these rates "are too good to be booked online" in fact. We have to serve the clients via mail to have access to these rates. So, our booking process is a bit unconventional and needs to be explained visually on the landing page. Users cannot book hotels right away, they can select up to 5 hotels of our catalogue and then send a booking request to our team. We will then send them a personal offer via mail, hence it's a very personal, premium booking experience. We user tested the current setup and saw users not understanding the current product - they expect to book right away, don't understand the benefits of booking with us and don't understand the process. The goal of your design is, that users understand the process and the features in a split-second!
What's your vision?
As you can see in the Adobe XD Draft there are some areas missing which should be used to better explain: a) How the process works in a visual, nice way (3 step process, also check out the jpg file) b) What the benefits are and that they are at no extra cost There is not only a display area for the banner on the landingpage, but also on the next two steps of the process which might look a bit different and give information of the current status in the process. So on the results page the "pick hotels" part should be marked as active. and on the final page the "send request" part. There will be a followup task after the contest to also create a desktop version of the banner. (additonal budget) German Texts for top banner (more or less): ----------------------------------------------------------- Headline (Just three steps to your stay with exclusive benefits): "Nur drei Schritte bis zu deiner Buchung mit exklusiven Vorteilen" Step one ( pick up to 5 hotels): "Wähle bis zu 5 Hotels" Step two ( send a booking request): "Sende eine Buchnungsanfrage" Step 3 (recieve a personal booking request via email): "Erhalte ein persönliches Angebot via E-Mail"
Our brand basically is about traveling better without paying more - business class flights for eco price etc. So we are not like a Four Seasons brand (exclusive only), but also not like a cheap flights brand such as Ryanair (cheap, cheap, cheap). We need a balanced design, that feels exclusive but not over the top.
